Summer is fast upon us. And summertime in the Southwest is as good as it gets. The weather is usually perfect, due to a sometimes overwhelming 300+ days of sunshine throughout the year.This leaves plenty of time to get outside and do something fun.


Southwest Colorado offers a perfect blend of the old west and the modern world - with an enormous playground in our own backyard. With the San Juan Mountains, La Plata Mountains, HD Mountains,Mesa Verde and the southwestern desert all within a days travel time, it is
impossible to run out of things to see and do.


This summer there is a plethora of music festivals and special events.There are opportunities to go sightseeing, camping, fishing, biking, hiking, rafting, kayaking ... the list goes on and on.The 2008 Southwest Summer Guide is designed to point visitors and locals in the right direction.
