May 28-30 – Iron Horse Bicycle Classic. Athletes race the D&SNG train from Durango to Silverton in this historic race. May 29 – Narrow Gauge 10 mile and 5K Run. This event is the second oldest continuous running race in Colorado. For details, visit: www.go-dmt.org

June 11 – Adventure Xstream Adventure Race. This series tests the skills and endurance of competitors. The courses will incorporate mountain biking, paddling, trekking, rope skills, in-line skating, and navigation.

June 18 – Red Bull Divide & Conquer. This mountain sports relay pits teams of four against other athletes as well as the rugged terrain of the San Juan Mountains. July 8-10 – Hardrock 100 Endurance Run in Silverton. The hardest 100-mile race in the world. This year the course runs from Silverton to Lake City, Ouray, Telluride, and back to Silverton.
