Completed greenhouse dome with solar panels  |
Welcome to my Growing Dome. It is more than a greenhouse, it is a year-round garden. This dome is 26 ft with 24" sidewalls. The vents, 2 on the top and 2 on the sides open and close automatically. The solar panels operate the fans. Note the fan on the picture to the right.

  These pictures were taken in April. The beds are filled with soil. I have transplanted my trees & have planted bedding plants for the garden. The water tank (right) is positioned on the north wall which is insulted. The black pipes pull the warm air and circulate it under the beds along the outside wall. |

 A month later and everything has exploded. Lettuce, kale, radishes, peas & beans are already being harvested and the squash is setting fruit. |
Squash on the left, nasturtiums on the right are huge. By June the squash are ready as well as the cucumber which are delicious. In July the tomatoes are getting ripe & the peas are still producing. The lemon tree if full of lemons. It's full summer and the dome stays at a reasonable temperature. |
